Hi, I’m Agnes!

Since I was a child, I’ve always gravitated towards good design. I loved going to the grocery store with my mom, walking through aisles, and admiring all the product designs. I would find myself pretending to enjoy some pretty gross snacks for the sake of undeniably great branding.

I was lucky enough to have parents who encouraged my love for the arts, where downtime was always spent walking through art museums with my dad as my somewhat informed tour guide. Not only were my parents supportive, but I had some amazing art teachers. I would sit at their desks reading college brochures offering art majors and career paths. From middle school onward, I was set on a graphic design major.

After college, my education and experience brought me on a path of unexpected adventures that I am grateful for. I worked for a clinical trials research organization that expanded my understanding of rare diseases and the importance of life-saving clinical trials. It was gratifying to be able to help humanize clinical trials through design. Since working at PRA Health Sciences, it has now been acquired by ICON.

I continue to develop my passion for design, but I have also had a special interest in social initiatives and helping my community. In 2018, I joined my husband in ministry full-time for several years where I had the opportunity to meet people from all over and gain experience in other areas of life that I never anticipated. Not only did I assist with design from time to time, but I also picked up unique skills as an administrative assistant for a non-profit organization. Additionally, I became an approved Texas Department of Criminal Justice Volunteer, where I was trained to teach self-awareness classes for incarcerated people inside the Texas Prison System to help them thrive. I also hosted a television show called Breaking the Silence, a woman-centered show where we had the chance to meet and interview successful female entrepreneurs and the like.

These experiences have brought me through Dallas and Houston, TX, as well as São Paulo, Brazil. I’m grateful for these experiences, and all the incredible people I’ve met along the way. I genuinely believe what makes design great is empathy, open-mindedness, and compassion for the people the design is communicating for. This is what makes design come alive, and I hope to continue applying all of the human experience I have acquired and continue to acquire into the work I produce.

Feel free to reach out, as I am currently open to new opportunities. Let’s connect!
